Rondar vs T3 Code

Both finished all seven tasks with correct results. T3 Code was faster on five of them, and only Rondar ran a hosted copy of the changed site and combined four pull requests into one release.

The two products ran on different machines, so the times say as much about the machine as about the product.

How to read these results

The machines were not the same, so a coding time says more about the machine than about the product.

Only Rondar had real GitHub checks turned on. They failed on main for a reason that had nothing to do with the tasks, so Rondar repaired that failure inside every pull request. That added minutes to Rondar's times.

Only Rondar ran task 8, because Amp and T3 Code do not offer a release of several changes.

Where T3 Code is better

  • T3 Code is free and open source, while Rondar is a paid hosted service with plans from $20 a month.
  • T3 Code was faster than Rondar on five of the seven tasks. For example, the corrections form took 4 minutes in T3 Code and 10 minutes in Rondar. The machines were not the same: the workstation had 2 CPU, and a Rondar session has 1.5 CPU.
  • T3 Code runs on your own computer and uses the coding agents that you already have installed there, with your own subscriptions.
  • Anyone can download T3 Code today, while Rondar is in an invite-only alpha.

How we tested

Tested on October 13-14, 2026. The same seven tasks ran on a private copy of a real Rails-style web app with one planted paging bug, with the same prompt text for each product.

T3 Code used Claude Opus 5.5 in a container on a workstation with 2 CPU and 4 GB. Rondar used Claude Opus 5.5 on Rondar's production servers, with 1.5 CPU and 4 GB per session.

Prices and features of T3 Code come from this test and from its official site. See T3 Code's site (free, no pricing page) and Rondar pricing.
