Connect a coding agent
Rondar runs each session with your own coding-agent account.
Know what you connect
Connect your own OpenAI Codex, Claude Code, Google Gemini, OpenCode, Kimi Code, xAI Grok Build or Meta Muse Code account. Your provider bills its usage separately.
Rondar does not sell model usage. A session runs on the account that you connect, with the limits of that account. Your Rondar plan sets how many sessions can run at the same time.
Open Connections
Open Settings → Connections. The page has one card for GitHub and one card for each coding agent that this installation offers.
Sign in to the provider
Select Connect on the card of the agent. The sign-in has one of these two forms:
- A code that you enter at the provider. Rondar shows an address and a short code. Open the address, sign in to the provider, and enter the code. Rondar shows the connection when the provider confirms it. OpenAI Codex uses this form.
- A code that you bring back. Rondar shows a link. Open it and sign in to the provider. The provider shows a code. Go back to Rondar, select I have the code, paste the code and select Connect. Claude Code uses this form.
Add a second account
You can connect more than one account of the same provider, for example a personal account and a team account. Use Make default to choose the account that new sessions use. Rename gives an account a name that you know again.
Choose the model
Settings → Agent defaults sets the agent, the model and the reasoning level for Regular mode and for Plan mode. A project can have its own defaults in its settings. In a session, the control below the message field changes the model for the next message only.
A session that exists keeps its model. New defaults apply to new sessions.
Keep the connection in good condition
The card of each account shows its usage when the provider gives it. Select Refresh usage to read it again. If sessions give no output, open Connections first: a provider can end a sign-in, and Refresh connection or a new sign-in corrects that.
Provider usage and charges are separate from Rondar.
